Mastering the art and practice of Conscious Connected Breathwork brings you to your true Soul Essence.

What is your Soul Essence?

The Soul Essence represents the transitional, subtle aspects of our being that exist between the physical and spiritual realms. It is your soul purpose for being here today and encompasses the liminal spaces, also known as those profound moments of transitions and self-discovery, that lie at the heart of your life path and spiritual journey.

What are the Benefits of Conscious Connected Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a rhythmic breathing practice designed to help you access deeper states of consciousness. This practice can lead to emotional release, heightened self-awareness, and a stronger connection to your inner self. Here's how it can support you:

Self-Discovery: Rediscovering Your Soul Essence

Have you experienced a Loss of Innocence© through trauma, grief, or disillusionment? Conscious Connected Breathwork is a "feeling" practice working on a sensory and somatic level, complimenting the talking element of a journey, and might be what you've been waiting for:

  • Unlock Deep Memories: Access forgotten memories and emotions stored in your body.
  • Release Emotional Blockages: Clear pent-up emotions and traumas, allowing for healing and renewal.
  • Reconnect with Inner Wisdom: Tap into your innate wisdom and intuition to rediscover your true essence.

For Practitioners: Developing Unique and Ethical Practices

Holistic and regulated practitioners can incorporate conscious connected breathwork to enhance their support for clients. This practice helps you:

  • Facilitate Deep Healing: Assist clients in accessing and healing deep-seated emotional wounds.
  • Promote Ethical Practice by enabling experiences stored in the tissues and cells to be processed and integrated, as well as those of the mind

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork and what does it do?

Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a specific breathing technique characterized by continuous, intentional breathing without pauses between the inhale and exhale. The practice is designed to facilitate a deeper connection between the mind and body, often leading to various physical, emotional, and mental benefits. The practice emphasizes mindfulness, focusing on the breath and the sensations it produces in the body. This heightened awareness can help bring unconscious patterns and emotions to the surface.

Effects and Benefits

  1. Physical:
    • Oxygenation: Enhanced oxygen supply to the cells which can shift energies and improve overall energy levels and vitality.
    • Detoxification: The deep and continuous breathing can help in eliminating toxins from the body and increased respiratory function, including that of the diaphragm; lymphatic and cardiovascular systems.
    • Relaxation: The practice can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, through the diaphragmatic connection to the polyvagal nerve and psoas muscle, promoting relaxation and reducing stress.
  2. Emotional:
    • Emotional Release: CCB can help release suppressed emotions and experiences by creating a contained space for them to surface and be processed.
    • Improved Mood: Participants often report feeling lighter, more balanced, and emotionally clearer after sessions.
  3. Mental:
    • Increased Clarity: The practice can lead to a heightened state of awareness and mental clarity, helping to clear mental clutter. I often hear from participants that going over lived experiences in breathwork takes away the emotion to support them to gain more clarity about what has happened or needs to happen next.
    • Stress Reduction: The mindful aspect of CCB and action with the poly vagal nerve and psoas muscle, can reduce anxiety and promote a sense of calm and peace.
  4. Spiritual:
    • Enhanced Connection: Many people experience a deeper connection to themselves, their community, the universe, and a greater sense of spiritual awareness.
    • Transcendental Experiences: Some participants report profound experiences that feel transcendent or mystical.

Mechanisms of Action

  • Nervous System Regulation: CCB helps in balancing the autonomic nervous system, which with practice can reduce the dominance of the fight-or-flight response.
  • Altered States of Consciousness: The practice can induce altered states of consciousness, similar to those achieved through meditation or certain types of psychotherapy or plant medicines, facilitating deeper introspection and insight.
  • Endorphin Release: The rhythmic and deep breathing can trigger the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals.

Considerations

  • Professional Guidance: Especially for beginners, it is advisable to practice CCB under the guidance of a trained facilitator to ensure safety and proper technique. This is a practice which can be mastered to use alone, there is no timescale for this as your progress will depend on your life experiences, the support your receive and the frequency of practice.
  • Medical Conditions: Individuals with certain medical conditions (e.g., respiratory issues, cardiovascular problems, mental health disorders) should consult with a well trained practitioner so you can practice this as safely as possible. Any breathwork alters your biochemistry, meaning your body and health might be effected.
  • Integration: Post-session integration and reflection is important. Reflecting on the experience and allowing time for the mind and body to process the session's effects can enhance the overall benefits.

In summary, Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful tool for enhancing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being through a specific breathing technique that promotes continuous, conscious breathing.

What do I need to know about taking a Breathwork Journey with Liminal Connections?

  • Amanda is a fully certified and insured Conscious Connected Breathwork Therapist, and registered mental health nurse. Whilst breathwork and many holistic practices are unregulated, my professional registration requires me to adhere to a code of ethics and "do no harm". I am highly ethical in practice and create gentle, contained and expansive spaces for people who work with me.
  • You do not need to have previous meditation or breathwork experience. When working with an experienced practitioner you should not need to have any experience of the practice as they will guide from the moment of enquiry until after the practice and into your integrative and reflective time.
  • In my journeys, I will give verbal expert guidance, and typically play music or use sounds of nature to guide your journey, in addition to using my hands to guide your breathing through touch, and only if you consent to this. It always worth checking with a practitioner how they guide your journey, please ensure they are consent informed and never overstep the boundaries they lay out for you.
  • Most people lay on their back during my breathwork journeys, however some may sit on the floor, supported or supported. At times during a journey you can left feeling slightly lightheaded therefore you should always breathe at ground level, not on a raised bed or standing.
  • You will need to bring things for comfort, I have limited mats and blankets available and you will at least need a mat and blanket, anything else which provides comfort might be helpful, such as a cushion for under your knees to relieve pressure on your back. We do not use cushions under the head in the practice as ned to keep our airways open.
  • Before booking your journey, whether in a group or individual, I ask that you read or watch (below) and agree my Practice Agreement. There some contraindications in breathwork meaning practice must be adapted and in some cases postponed. You and me can only work with your own health and safety as a priority when there is honest transparency to ensure I can support you wholly on this journey.
