VOICES OF LIBERATION

KENT

SATURDAY 22ND MARCH 2025 10AM - 5PM

Global Journeys of Inspiration, Liberations and Truth

Saturday, 22nd March | 10AM - 5PM

Location: In-person, Kent

Join us for Voices of Liberation, an empowering and intimate gathering dedicated to amplifying the voices of BIPOC (Black Indigenous and People of Colour) and the Global Majority as they share their personal journeys of liberation, transformation, and healing. This event offers a platform for diverse speakers to recount the unique paths they have taken to navigate and overcome challenges rooted in systemic inequities, cultural expectations, and personal identity.

Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to hear stories from individuals who have integrated their heritage, experiences, and the healing practices they've discovered along the way to carve spaces of belonging, justice, and empowerment. Attendees will be invited to engage in workshops, storytelling sessions, and interactive activities that introduce a variety of tools and modalities used by our speakers to reclaim agency and nurture their wellbeing—from breathwork and meditation to creative expression and community-based support.

Voices of Liberation is more than a collection of stories; it’s a shared experience and collective journey. Together, we’ll explore the intersection of personal and communal healing, centring practices that honour cultural heritage and lived experience as sources of freedom and self-determination. We invite you to listen, learn, and celebrate the liberation and wisdom of the global majority, building solidarity and inspiring ways to thrive in a world that values every voice.

The morning session will feature a series of inspirational talks led by local individuals from the global majority, sharing their life journeys, challenges, and achievements. These talks will provide an authentic, heartfelt look into the diverse lived experiences in our community, highlighting the ways that socioeconomic factors, cultural heritage, and systemic structures impact individuals' paths and resilience.

In the afternoon, attendees will be invited to explore a Library of Practices, a hands-on, take-away toolkit of practical methods for health and wellbeing. This interactive experience will introduce accessible practices—from breathing exercises and meditation to community-based healing traditions—that attendees can integrate into their daily lives for support and self-care.
