BASIC LIFE: Health Discussions & Breathwork

Health Discussions & Breathwork for People Interested in Equitable and Integrative Health & Social Change

BASIC LIFE community is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to educated, compassionate, and anti-oppressive approaches to health support and care. The name reflects our commitment to honouring the fundamental human rights of each person – to receive informed, accessible support for wellness that uplifts . Our health systems, often modelled around illness and structured in ways that uphold systemic biases, can sometimes feel limiting or exclusionary. But, what if we could reimagine a world where health support is dynamic, integrative, and centred on the individuals holistic support needs – prioritising prevention, wellbeing, and empowerment?

Basic Life recognises and openly discusses the inequalities and inequities in the health system, often influenced by factors such as ethnicity, race, socio-economic status, gender, sexuality and diagnosis. This community is a space for open, inclusive conversations where everyone can access knowledge as power, to recognise all possibilities.

Whether you’re joining from the perspective of lived experience, as a parent or carer, a practitioner, or working to support others who experience challenges in accessing equitable health; you’re wholly welcome.

Together, we’re creating a platform for Basic Life – grounded in mentally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually healthy care for humanity, connection, and the power of shared community learning for all.
